Getting there was a bit tricky, as the whole being dead business is something he's still recovering from, and that most fiddly of powers, teleportation, was something he had some trouble with. As in, he managed to teleport himself inside one of his apartment walls. So there's a hole there now. ]

[ Neutral territory, where she can hit him without breaking up anyone's apartment (more). Because she's going to hit him, he knows. He feels a mixture of trepidation, nostalgia, and relief about that. He deserves it, for making her worry. ]
[She flies as quickly as she could without care for anything like subtlety or any attempt to stay hidden. In fact, she doesn't even slow down much before landing which means she leaves huge cracks in the roof when she comes down. She doesn't waste any time before she's stalking up to him.
She definitely feels angry enough to hit him. In fact, all the way here she was thinking of all the ways she'd make him sorry for worrying her, for disappearing somewhere and then coming back like he'd just been in some filler arc and no one would notice he was gone.
But now that he was here, now that he was safe, the relief hits her hard and when she walks up to him, instead of hitting him she reaches out and grabs his sleeve.]
What happened?
[Spoiler: if she doesn't get an honest answer she's going to launch him into the air shoryuken style.]
[ To his credit, he doesn't flinch when she lands, nor when the cracks in the roof reach to his feet, nor even when she stalks up to him. It occurs to him that the last time she threw him against a wall, she was quite a bit younger than she is now. Whatever she does to him now, at her current level of strength, is going to hurt.
[ ...and then she looks so relieved and reaches for his sleeve and he was right: it hurts.
Kindness and concern from the Queen of all Espers isn't something that should surprise him, if he thought about it objectively; but when the object of that kindness and concern is him, he can't... he just can't take it. ]
[That lasts for all of two seconds before she gets angry. She lets go of his sleeve and maybe another girl would have just slapped him, but she's just going to punch him. And yes, she did put a fair bit of power behind it.]
Bullshit! As if you'd get a second season before the main series does! [You better not or there'll be trouble.] Stop treating me like a kid and tell me the truth!
[ He doesn't try to block or evade her punch in any way, and it connects. It's a moment before he can straighten up again, his cheek reddened and beginning to swell from her blow. ]

[ Before he disappeared into imaginary space, he left behind a copy of himself, in Feather's form, as well as a record of his last meeting with Gilliam. Upon that record he'd placed protection: he didn't want any of the Children to see what had happened to him.
